Born in Shimane Prefecture in 1978. He participated in Koshien in the summer of his third year at Nanao Gakuen Masuda Higashi High School. After he graduated from Komazawa University Faculty of Business Administration, he joined Yamaha Corporation. He joined the Hanshin Tigers in 2002. He played as a pitcher from 2003 to 2007. In 2012, BASEfor opened. In 2015, opened the Daily Acupuncture and Osteopathic Clinic.
